Track Palin Plays Football Before Deployment

I think Sarah Palin mentioned recently that her son was shipping out again and one of my readers tipped me off to this. The Alaska National Guard posted these pics from Camp Atterbury. I’m assuming it’s okay to post this since, well, the Alaska National Guard itself posted it:

Soldiers from B Co., 1st Bn. (ABN), 143rd Inf. Reg. get some free time to work in a quick football game prior to their last formation before they are scheduled to depart to Afghanistan sometime this week. (Photos by Staff Sgt. Karima Turner)

Sgt. Track Palin of Wasilla, and a member of B Company, 1st Battalion (Airborne), 143rd Infantry Regiment, Security Forces (SECFOR) for Kandihar Provincial Reconstruction Team (KPRT) dodges a tackle by one of his Air Force KPRT counterparts. (Photo by Staf Sgt. Karima Turner)

Governor Parnell visited the battalion:

Full set here.

.

It appears that the battalion completed some final training at Camp Atterbury before deployment:

Pics of B company meeting up with the rest of its battalion here.

U.S Army National Guard Lt. Col MacGrath speaks to a gathering of the entire 1st Battalion Dec. 2, 2011 on Camp Atterbury, IN. PRT Kandahar is a joint team of U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy service members that will deploy to the Kandahar providence in Afghanistan to assist in the effort to rebuild and stabilize the local government and infrastructure.

This is the first time the entire battalion has gathered in one place since World War II . (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Tim Chacon/ not released)

And not sure if Track’s in here or not (not really brushed up on my military classifications), but the description reads:

B Company, 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry (Airborne) Regiment and 297th Long Range Surveillance (LRS) conducting airborne operations. The Soldiers parachuted from a C-130 onto Malemute Drop Zone in the beginning of November.

This was the final state-side jump for B Company who is deploying to Afghanistan to conduct Security Forces (SECFOR) operations in support of the Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRT) throughout Afghanistan.

These are precious photos. I’d seen some of them, but none of the football pics.

I’m still unable to view any of them without tearing up. I so admire Track and I pray for him and all his fellow guardsmen.

    Thank you, Kelsey.

Wow. Track looks just like Todd now, with Sarah’s eyes.

I’m so sad about this. I know Track is doing the right thing in serving his country, but he’s got a beautiful new baby. This is absolutely heartbreaking. I wonder if Todd will be able to see him off. The Iron Dog doesn’t end until Saturday.

Many thousands of military troops have new babies and are already deployed.  They also may have missed being there for the birth of their child–that’s heartbreaking. ALL troops are important, not just Palin’s kid. Will Track see combat this time around?  His DD214 showed did NOT see combat last time he was deployed.

Last tour he was in a Stryker Brigade that provided security for the Unit’s top officers as they toured the different combat zones. If you are trying to imply something, then bitch about Beau Biden who was a military lawyer… are you going to make a comment about how close he got to combat? I have a pretty good feeling that Track got a lot closer than Beau did.

  • Anonymous

I’m not saying anything about Biden because his father is V.P. and we don’t put sons & daughters of top government officials in a position where they could possibly kidnapped and used against our country.  He’s also an accomplished attorney and serving in the military in his chosen field.  If Track had the education, he could have been afforded the same opportunity.  I also don’t recall Jill Biden saying “I’m the mother of a combat vet and nobody can take that away from me!” but Sarah did.  She LIED but then again, that’s her nature. She lied about Troopergate, she lied about her association with the RGA and making a commercial during the gubernatorial campaign, she deceived AK citizens by writing letters of praise for herself and then had supporters send the letters to the AK newspapers for publication with their names, she lied when she used her staff as Mayor to work on her Lt. Gov. campaign, etc. I could list dozens of times she lied but I think you get the picture.

You can remove all the comments you like but it won’t change the fact that Sarah Palin is well known for her lying throughout Alaska.  Keep your heads buried in the sand but not until you send her some more PAC $$ for the next family vacation! After all, you can’t expect a multi-millionaire to pay for her own vacation when her stupid followers are willing to do it.

Unfortunately I don’t give a crap. I post what I think is interesting and delete comments that bother my regular readers, so, bye.

Track has attained a position of responsibility.  As a sergeant, Track probably commands a squad of about 10 soldiers.  Apparently he has also passed paratrooper training and is qualified for airborne operations.  His mom must be very proud.

Heartbreaking? I felt so proud and pumped up with these guys!

Yes Sir/Madam! Proud is the word!

This is what being American is..  Humble and fully ready to defend all that’s good in America. God I beg of you to watch over these fine men and woman. We will work as hard as we can here in the states along with Sarah to restore our Republic from evil within. Thank you.

  • Kristy Patullo

Since we’re not the same person, we are going to have different emotions. I wouldn’t say I was pumped. But definitely proud.

  • Philip127

I’m not sure but isn’t that Track with the sunglass in the football picks? The reason I think so is it appears to be a tatoo of the Stute of Libertiy on his right arm and I remember his Mom commenting on it once.

I am thankful for all of our fine soldiers.  I know Gov. Palin must be so proud of her son Track.  We must remember all of America’s finest while they are in harms way.  May God watch over each one and be with their families.

I hope there is some thought that maybe he will be a target, because of who his mom is.  I am surprised they are sending him off.  I hope he stays safe.

It’s good to see that Track Palin seems to have no problems with Barack Obama being his Commander-In-Chief……..

  • Busted

Bwaahaahaahaa! No way is Track a sargent! Nobody, not even Superman, rises through the ranks that fast. What a fricking riot! I suppose he has three purple hearts and the Congressional Medal of Honor as well. ROFLMAO
