Many Palin supporters see no one else. Can’t see anyone else (“there is no one else!”). Some are like Ron Paul supporters (sorry for the analogy) in that Palin will do and Palin only. Twenty years from now if no one has heard from Palin in ten years, they’ll still be writing in her name.

I guess I’m kind of unique in that I prepared myself for the possibility that she wouldn’t run, so when she announced her decision it didn’t bother me. I understand that many cannot let go. Okay, fine. I’m not saying that we should all forget Palin ever happened, turn our backs on the whole thing. From what I gather, this Grizzly Fest idea is an attempt to keep the Palin movement together and moving forward as a force in the coming elections, whether there’s a Palin at the forefront or not. Fair enough, and good.

But as for Palin running, draft movements, petitions, etc… all I can say is good luck. Palin has made up her mind. She’s a stubborn woman and that’s that. I think it’s over. She’s already where she wants to be.

As for the field now, yeah it sucks, but pick your poison. There is no perfect candidate. Personally, I’m leaning toward Newt (I think that’s fairly obvious) mostly because he’s coming across as the adult in a room full of kindergartners. Whether that “lean” will remain I don’t know. Not really looking to immerse myself 110% in another politician any time soon. Taking a break from that and taking it as it comes.

I took it hard. It felt like a heartbreak. But I’m doing fine now, though our choice of candidates is sad. I’m leaning Newt too – but I’m not expecting ‘sudden and relentless reform.’

It’s strange. A generic Republican beats Obama, but none of our candidates do. I think that is a sign we don’t have a right one in the mix as of yet.

I’m glad you are okay. Hope things go well with you. I love your site.

But I’m going to miss the Sarah stuff. The ‘ordinary barbarians’ and all. I still think she is exceptional. I hope another rises to the occasion if Sarah is staying out of it. Though I wouldn’t bet on it.

Hey, Bill. The last few years were one crazy ride. Good times.

I didn’t even look at the other candidates until she made her announcement. I thought that Perry would be the default anti-Romney, but he’s nose-dived spectacularly. I honestly haven’t really examined Newt’s record yet (I was in grade school when he was Speaker). Planning on doing some real homework if in a few weeks I’m still leaning toward him.

Maybe some perfect person will jump in at the last minute, but I doubt it. Palin I think has no interest in running this time around. That chapter is closed. And unless something changes I don’t think she’ll run in the future either. I think she wants to be more of an activist. I’ll cover Palin stuff from time to time if anything piques my interest.

Good times. Good memories to have. Sarah is special.  So are you Kelsey.

I don’t blame her for not running, now or ever. But, darn it, I wish politicians of her caliber were more common. There was twenty years between Reagan and Palin. I hope we don’t have to wait another twenty years.

I’m afraid I’ll be telling my future grandchildren about the olden days when people were free, and hard work might lead to prosperity.

Kelsey – I’m laughing a tad, since your most recent posting is of Bristol running with the reindeer. I understand – We The People feel the connection to Sarah like no one else. Her CPAC speech helped show that. And, now, the dang elite of the GOPe are doing everything they can to take Sarah down once more……I’ve lost track of the number of groups and times this has been tried – and failed.

Just saw part of your full length movie you posted in 2009 – had not seen it before or many of the things you had – so I just had to thank you – for that – and all you’ve done at C4P and elsewhere.

I wish I felt better about our presumptive nominee – but, alas, just can’t get my arms around the whole idea.

Anyway – I just had to make contact with you. Hope all is well with you and your family. Miss you at C4P.
