Or at least she used to be her hairdresser. Don’t know if she still is.
There’s no trailer to be found nor much in the way of details yet, but TLC is planning to debut a two-part special called “Big Hair Alaska” on Sept. 20. Here’s the teaser: This special goes inside a busy hair salon in Wasilla, where the personalities of the owner and her staff are as big as the hairstyles they create.
The TV network TLC, home to such popular shows as Little People, Big World, Say Yes To The Dress and Cake Boss, announced today that it’s adding the show Big Hair Alaska to its fall lineup.
The show offers a look behind the scenes at the Beehive Beauty Shop, the bright pink beauty salon that gained national fame for crafting former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s signature coiffure. The salon is located off the East Palmer-Wasilla Highway in Wasilla.
The show’s time slot has not yet been announced.
Here’s an old New York Times profile of Jessica “Beehive” (Jessica Steele) from 2008.
